Videography, how we shoot
Split Screen
This concept allows the couple to view each other on the morning of their wedding at the same time. Every couple who opt for this product are delivered with a very unique finish as the background images are the flowers from the day and will change separately.*
An example of this concept can be viewed on the welcome page.
* (There is an additional charge for this service)Wedding Vows
A small discreet microphone is worn by the groom, thus recording clear audio of the exchanging of your vows. To see an example of this please click on the vows video clip on the welcome page to hear and see an example.
The Montage
To conclude your wedding DVD a special highlight montage illustrating the highlights of the day is produced. A combination of steadicam images and tripod shot footage is edited in tandom with the music. As the bride is now married and will take her husband's name the DVD follows suit and the bride and groom are listed as one.
Examples of the wedding montage can be viewed on the welcome page.
Production & Post-Production
Camera
Broadcast equipment is used in the form of the High Definition Sony V1-e.
In May 2010 we purchased a video flash recorder which allows us to record both on tape and onto flashcard. This is a brilliant safety feature as your wedding is recorded onto two different formats, if one format should fail the footage of your day will be available on the other format.
Steadicam
Late in 2008 we purchased a steadicam system. This piece of equipment allows the user to move the camera across different terrain and all the time the camera is balanced perfectly. To see examples of where the steadicam has been used please go to the welcome page.
We are one of only two videographers in Northern Ireland who specialise in steadicam for weddings.
Audio
For the exchanging of the vows a smail discreet radio microphone is used. The results are properly recorded audio for the ceremonial part of your wedding.
Lighting for the 1st Dance
From experience gained in filming weddings we have found that bands in Ireland do not light the dance floor. If lights are provided they are usually shone onto the band rather than the couple. Since 2009 we have lit the floor to make the 1st dance for the couple more enjoyable rather than dancing in semi-darkness. The lights also do away with the video light and makes the DVD production more enjoyable to watch.
Post-Production
Within the post-production phase, a computer based edit system known as Final Cut Pro is used to edit together the images of your day. Special colour effects such as sepia, cool blue & black and white are used. Using frame-accurate editing we can make an image cut in sequence with the music making the final production more enjoyable.
Your final DVD is delivered to you on a DVD-R. These discs are the most compatible with current DVD players. The discs are burn once only which is the equivalent of removing the tab in a VHS tape. This prevents your wedding been accidentally erased. The DVD discs are also region-free allowing them to be viewed anywhere in the world.
New for 2010 is the option of having your wedding available to view on blu-ray.
Please contact us for further information.
Wedding Cases & Wallets
The final DVD is presented in a black coloured lined leather case with "Our Wedding Day" etched on the front and spine. An image of the couple from the day is printed onto the surface of the DVD disc making the production that little bit more personal.
The "Wedding Wallet" for the accompanying copies of your wedding production. These additional dvd's for friends and family are presented in black wallets and are both modern and stylish.
All productions are delivered with a personalised DVD chapter select menu allowing the user to view the various sections of the wedding in whatever order they desire. (This is standard for all Platinum Plus, Platinum, Diamond & Gold video packages).
