Productions & Post Productions

Camera

Broadcast equipment is used in the form of a shoulder mounted Sony DSR 250.

Camera Jib

New for 2008 is the camera jib or camera crane. The crane allows the recording of images that not even a photographer could create. The angle of a shot can go from 4 feet off the ground to 12 feet in one smooth movement. This is a brand new concept and Blue Moon are the only company in Ireland to offer this system at no extra charge. To see sequences that have been filmed using the camera jib please go the weddings page.

Audio

For the exchanging of the vows small discreet radio microphones are used. The results are properly recorded clear audio for the ceremonial part of your wedding. Examples where the radio microphones have been used can be viewed at the weddings page.

Evening Entertainment

For the 1st dance a small light is fixed to the top of the camera to highlight the couple.

Post Production

Within the post-production phase, a computer based edit system known as Final Cut Pro is used to edit together the images of your day. Special colour effects such as cool blue, sepia, black and white are used. These effects are edited in such a fashion that as the music may go up tempo the image will change from colour into black and white or vice-versa. Through the production, specially composed 3D picture effects are employed. For example a group shot of the bridal party is edited in slow motion. The sequence is then layered on a photograph of the flowers and thus moves across the screen. For examples of the special effects please go to the weddings page.

Your final DVD is delivered to you on a DVD-R. These discs are the most compatible with current DVD players. The discs are burnt once only which is the equivalent of removing the tab in a VHS tape. This prevents your wedding been accidentally erased. The DVD discs are also region-free allowing them to be viewed anywhere in the world.
